Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier for our school. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff.
Responsibilities:
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Count and verify cash amounts at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register area.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in the system accurately.
• Handle petty cash and maintain proper documentation.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues with cash transactions.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff.
• Answer questions and provide information about school services and products.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking of merchandise.
• Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently.
• Proficient in using cash registers and other related equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
