Job Description:

Reporting to the Head Cashier, the Cashier occupies a critical position enabling the organization to achieve its objectives. Having experience in customer service and cash registration transaction , the desired candidate is ambitious, eager for success and results, has strong customer service experience, the ability to maintain and coordinate daily cash registers operations and ultimately demonstrates a passion for the tool industry. Handling payments transaction with compliance to the procedures established by the head office is his responsibility. The quality of customer service and the customer experience is his first priority.

Main Responsibilities:

Handling payments by cash, cheque, credit card, e transfer or direct deposit.
Using scanner, cash registers, POS and computers.
Giving receipts, refunds, credits and assisting customers.
Stay up to date in promotions.
clean display cases, shelves and aisles.
Sales oriented, he has the ability to develop relationship with customers.
Can organize daily clerical tasks effectively (tills count, deposits, follow action plan)
Easy to work with and collaborative with the store team to facilitate efficient communication.
Experience:

Minimum 1 to 3 years in transactions operations
Experience in the tool industry or other industry related to tooling will be consider as an asset
Must have the ability to work in an organized manner, have a work ethic where judgment, logical reasoning and initiative are advocated and used daily
Must have a vast customer service, transactions experience
Must know how to counter theft and prevent it
Must be able to adapt to changes, delays and unforeseen events in a positive and professional manner
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.

Ability to work together with the team towards a common goal
High rigor towards money management
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent ability to follow work procedures
Ability and thirst for continuous learning and ability
Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop business relationships
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to achieve one or more objectives in a context of short deadlines.
This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours/week, the 5-day work week includes 2 days off per week, Sunday (closed) and one day during the week.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Weekends as needed
