Job Summary
We are a busy general contracting company that has been in operation since 1967. We pride ourselves in delivering quality workmanship in a variety of construction environments - from custom-built homes and renovations, to commercial transformations and restorations. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carpenters Helper/Apprentice to join our construction team. In this role, you will assist experienced carpenters in executing a variety of building projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience across various aspects of carpentry and construction. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in carpentry and construction while contributing to high-quality projects. Requirements
Minimum of 1-5 years experience with hand and power tools
Must have your own steel toe safety boots, tools, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves.
Valid driver's license in good standing and own reliable transportation is required.
Working at Heights, WHMIS and safety training would be an asset.
Responsibilities
Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
Support the installation of drywall, flooring, siding, roofing, and other building components
Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
Prepare work sites by loading and unloading materials, setting up scaffolding, framing, and other projects as needed
Perform general labor tasks involving heavy lifting
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
