Carpenter’s Helper – Modular Installation
Job Description
Tasu Construction is a Western Canada–based construction company specializing in the installation and delivery of high-quality modular and camp facilities. We are seeking dependable Carpenter’s Helpers to support our modular installation crews on upcoming project mobilizations.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for candidates who enjoy physical work, rotational schedules, and contributing to a team in project environments. All work is project-based, with travel required across Western Canada depending on project location.
Work Schedule & Travel
• Remote, project-based work only
• Rotational schedule
• Travel required throughout Western Canada for modular installations
Key Responsibilities
• Assist carpenters with the installation and finishing of modular and camp buildings from foundation to completion
• Support rigging, crane setting, alignment, and anchoring of modular units under supervision
• Assist with interior and exterior finishing, including trim, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Help build stairs, decks, landings, and covered entrances
• Perform site preparation, material handling, loading and unloading, and general labour support
• Assist with renovations and repairs on existing modular structures
• Maintain communication with site supervisors regarding progress and material needs
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
Qualifications
• 1–3+ years of related carpentry, construction, or general labour experience
• Basic understanding of construction practices and job-site safety
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a crew
• Valid driver’s license
• Physically capable of performing heavy manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, organization, and professional attitude
• Camp, modular, or remote construction experience is an asset
• First Aid, Fall Protection, or other construction safety training is an asset
• Ownership of standard hand tools is a bonus but not required
