PJ's Precision Carpentry are seeking apprentices and fully qualified carpenters to join our growing team.

About us

PJ's Precision Carpentry are a Sydney-based company that specialise in all aspects of residential carpentry, including home renovations, decks, doors and locks, skirting and architraves, cladding, bathroom extensions and more. We work across Sydney, with jobs mostly concentrated in the Inner West, CBD, North Shore, Northern Beaches and South Sydney/St George.

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and reliable apprentices and carpenters with experience in residential carpentry to join our team. We are hiring for multiple full-time positions with consistent work available.

Essential Criteria

Experience in construction/professional carpentry.
Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card).
Ability to work in a team and independently.
Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Effective communication and time management skills.
Willingness to work across Sydney.
Apprentice Requirements and Duties

Enrolled in a recognised carpentry program at TAFE.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Assist experienced carpenters in all aspects of building and construction.
Learn to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Develop your skills through on-the-job training and mentorship.
Carpenter Requirements and Duties

Certificate III in Carpentry.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a professional carpenter.
Own tools.
Experience in reading plans in order to interpret and execute drawings and instructions received from the leading hand.
Execute structural carpentry work based on provided construction documentation.
Coordinate installation and restoration activities to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Promptly communicate progress to the leading hand/site supervisor.
Adhere to building codes and site-specific safety protocols.
