Carpenter – Spiritbar Renovation Project
Location: Spiritbar at the Hume Hotel & Spa (Nelson, BC)
Job Type: Temporary / Short-Term Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Compensation & Perks
$30–$35 per hour (based on experience)
Lunch provided daily
Monday to Friday schedule -weekends and evenings off!
About the Opportunity
The Hume Hotel & Spa is looking for an experienced Carpenter to help transform Spiritbar into an exciting new concept. If you enjoy renovation work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and like seeing a project come together from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
Working alongside our renovation team, you'll play an important role in bringing this new space to life.
Responsibilities
Complete framing, finishing, millwork, and general carpentry
Assist with commercial renovation and construction work
Read and interpret drawings and project specifications
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Work collaboratively with the renovation team to meet project timelines
Qualifications
Previous carpentry experience is required
Commercial renovation experience is considered an asset
Experience with framing, finishing, millwork, and general construction
Own basic hand tools
Steel-toe boots and appropriate PPE
Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical work throughout the day
Reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
