Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on residential, commercial, and modular construction projects, performing framing, finishing, installation, and general carpentry duties while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials
Construct and install walls, floors, roofs, partitions, and structural components
Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, mouldings, and finishing materials
Perform framing, finishing, renovation, and repair work
Coordinate daily carpentry activities and assist labourers and apprentices
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications
Plan material requirements and assist with inventory management
Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
Follow all company safety policies and site safety requirements
Work closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades
Requirements
Completion of secondary school
Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience
Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
Experience with framing, finishing, and structural installations
Experience with modular or panelized construction is considered an asset
Leadership or crew supervision experience is considered an asset
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
