Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with a variety of carpentry and general labour tasks on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration work. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction processes, hand and power tools, and a strong work ethic to contribute effectively to our team’s success.
Responsibilities
• Perform exterior work such as concrete forming, framing,roofing, siding,doors ,windows as needed. Also interior work such as bathroom/kitchen renovations including finishing carpentry.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct restoration work including surface preparation and finishing touches
• Measure and cut materials accurately using appropriate tools
• Assist with heavy lifting and material movement around the job site
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
• Support team members in assembly, drywall installation, painting, and handyman tasks as required
Requirements
• Proven experience in carpentry or general construction work; handyman experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and related equipment
• Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license preferred for site travel purposes
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions
