CancerCare Manitoba Lab Technician Role

Join CancerCare Manitoba as a Laboratory Technician based in Winnipeg. This position allows you to focus on phlebotomy and enhance patient care in a supportive clinical environment. As a member of the Outpatient Clinic Services Program, you'll report to the Unit Manager and assist with laboratory tasks as directed by the Charge Technologist.

A recognized Medical Laboratory Technology course and at least three years of phlebotomy experience are essential for applicants. This role is casual and involves direct patient interaction. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct phlebotomy procedures on patients
• Execute laboratory responsibilities as needed
• Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Keep accurate patient records and logs
• Follow safety and operational protocols Requirements:
• Completion of Medical Laboratory Technology course
• High school diploma in accordance with Manitoba standards
• Three years of phlebotomy experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
