Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Café, Bar, or Restaurant Waiter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring customers have a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures, are adhered to at all times
Assist with food preparation and setting up tables as needed
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including clearing tables and replenishing supplies
Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders
Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods with excellent time management skills
Skills
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
Ability to handle food preparation tasks when required
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
Effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy shifts
Upselling abilities to enhance guest experience and maximise sales potential
Organised with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
