About Us
Lifetime Design is a custom metal fabrication shop specializing in architectural metalwork including gates, railings, fencing, and doors. We work on a wide range of custom projects for residential and commercial clients, combining hands on fabrication craftsmanship with CNC precision. Our team is growing, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in accurate, detailed work.
About the Role
We're hiring a Designer/Draftsperson & CNC Programmer to create shop and customer drawings and program our CNC equipment for production. You'll work closely with our fabrication team to turn design intent into precise, buildable plans, and translate those plans into CNC ready programs.
What You'll Do
Create detailed shop drawings and customer facing drawings for custom metalwork projects (gates, railings, fencing, doors, and more)
Program and set up CNC equipment for cutting and fabrication
Collaborate with the design and shop team to ensure drawings match design intent and production needs
Review project specs and site measurements to develop accurate drawings
Troubleshoot and adjust CNC programs as needed during production
Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation
What We're Looking For
2 to 3 years of experience in drafting, design, or CNC programming (metal fabrication experience a plus)
Proficiency in Fusion 360
Understanding of CNC programming and machining processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to read/interpret technical drawings
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Experience in architectural metalwork, custom fabrication, or a related trade is a plus
