Job Description
1. Fundraising and Revenue Generation
Face-to-Face Fundraising:
Engage with visitors, local communities, and potential donors at the rescue center and other outreach locations to generate financial support.
Develop personalized approaches to encourage donations based on Wildlife SOSs mission and impact.
Event-Based Fundraising:
Plan and execute fundraising events such as open days, workshops, and charity drives to attract financial contributions.
Collaborate with the team to identify event opportunities and design impactful activities for revenue generation.
Merchandise Sales:
Promote and sell Wildlife SOS merchandise (such as T-shirts, mugs, and other products) to visitors and event attendees.
Visitor Volunteer Program:
Generate revenue by promoting the Visitor Volunteer Program, encouraging hands-on experiences at the rescue center, and emphasizing its conservation impact.
Coordinate volunteer schedules and ensure smooth program execution.
2. Educational Outreach and Awareness Programs
Awareness Talks:
Conduct educational talks and sessions at schools, colleges, and other institutions to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and the work of Wildlife SOS.
Develop engaging presentations and activities tailored to different age groups and audiences.
Tours at the Rescue Centre:
Provide guided tours of the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Centre for visitors, volunteers, and interns, educating them on the bears stories, the rescue centers work, and the importance of wildlife conservation.
Encourage visitors to support Wildlife SOS through donations, volunteering, or purchasing merchandise.
3. Community Outreach and Cleanup Drives
Community Engagement:
Organize and participate in local outreach events to build relationships with the community and promote Wildlife SOSs conservation initiatives.
Actively engage with communities to foster a sense of responsibility and involvement in conservation efforts.
Cleanup Drives:
Plan and execute environmental cleanup drives in and around the rescue center and other relevant locations.
Mobilize volunteers, corporate groups, and community members to participate in cleanup activities.
4. Donor Communication and Relationship Management
Email and Phone Communication:
Handle regular email and telephonic communication with current and prospective donors to update them on Wildlife SOS projects and fundraising initiatives.
Answer donor queries promptly and provide personalized updates, reports, and photographs on how their contributions are making an impact.
Follow-Up and Relationship Building:
Follow up with donors to maintain strong relationships and secure recurring contributions.
Send thank-you notes, newsletters, and other communication to ensure donors feel valued and engaged.
5. Administrative and Reporting Tasks
Google Calendar Management:
Maintain and update the Google Calendar for all community engagement activities, including visitor tours, volunteer schedules, cleanup drives, and outreach events.
Ensure proper coordination with the Wildlife SOS team to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all donor interactions, visitor and volunteer engagements, and merchandise sales.
Generate regular reports on fundraising progress, revenue generated, and community engagement outcomes.
Event Logistics:
Coordinate logistics for events, including venue preparation, materials, and scheduling.
Ensure smooth execution of all activities and provide on-ground support as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
