Full job description
Duties
Maintains and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies. Including but not limited to automatic pin placing machines, automatic scorers, ball returns, and telefoul units.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters in bowling pins and lanes, using wood plastic and lane stock, sands surfaces, and recoat them with appropriate finishes.
Determines which mechanical assemblies are malfunctioning, what parts and mechanisms can be reworked or should be replaced with new parts, and the types of adjustments and alignments required.

Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. to include a Tier 1 background Investigation.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry moderate to heavy objects up to 40 pounds. Must also be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions
Qualifications
Work experience directly related to the duties describe above. Knowledge of electrical principles and operating characteristics of electrical and electronic components for application as in the duties described.
Applicant must:
1. Be able to understand and follow written instructions
2. Have ability to handle tools and equipment used
3. Be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds
4. Be able to actively bend, stoop, reach and work in awkward positions.
5. Work rotating shifts
Highly Preferred:
Must have 3 to 4 years of Mechanical Maintenance Experience
Must have 1 to 2 years Electrical Maintenance Experience

FWS Allowances and Differentials
This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee
