About Us

We are an Australian accounting and advisory practice providing services to companies, trusts, sole traders, and individuals. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting & Bookkeeping Officer through an outsourcing partner to support our growing workload and maintain high-quality client service standards.

Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping

· Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including data entry, reconciliations and payroll.

· Manage accounts payable and receivable

· Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts

· Assist with BAS, IAS, and GST preparation

· Maintain accurate accounting records in line with company policies

· Support senior accountants in resolving discrepancies

* Software & Systems

· Familiar to accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks

· Apply strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data cleaning and basic formulas

· Prepare professional documents using Microsoft Word

· AI experience in Chat GPT, Claude etc.

* Client & Workflow Management

· Manage over 40 client files simultaneously while meeting deadlines

· Follow internal workflows, procedures, and documentation standards

· Maintain complete and up-to-date job notes and supporting documentation

* Communication & Compliance

· Communicate professionally with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders

· Liaise with Australian government agencies such as ATO and ASIC

· Draft, read, and respond to emails and correspondence in clear English

· Understand and follow compliance-related instructions and deadlines

* Key Skills & Requirements Mandatory

· Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel and Word

· Hands-on experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks

· Ability to manage high-volume work across multiple clients

· Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) with clear pronunciation

· Strong teamwork skills and ability to work remotely with an Australian practice

Desirable

· Previous experience working with an Australian accounting or bookkeeping firm

· Familiarity with BAS, GST, and Australian compliance requirements

· Experience with practice management systems such as XPM

· Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications
