Bookkeeper
Salary: £30,000 FTE dependent on skills and experience
Wetherby, LS22 (free parking)
Full Time, Permanent
Monday – Friday office based

Moulds & Co is a trusted accountancy and business advisory firm in Wetherby, supporting businesses since 1++7. We provide expert bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and financial guidance to help clients improve cash flow and profitability.
Overview
We are seeking a positive, driven and organised Bookkeeper to join our team working from our office in Wetherby. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance and can demonstrate they have at least 2 years’ experience working as a bookkeeper in practice, using Xero and QuickBooks.
Duties but not limited to:-
• Manage a variety of client's bookkeeping requirements and be point of contact for bookkeeping queries
• Raise sales and purchase invoices and ensure the VAT treatment is correct
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable ledgers
• Reconcile bank statements & post monthly journals
• Prepare and file VAT returns for clients
Skills
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, DEXT and QuickBooks is essential
• Xero certification preferred
• Qualified by experience or AAT level 4
• Experience with payroll transactions desirable
• Practice experience
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
• Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and clients
• Positive attitude
• Open to learning new skills and sharing best practice
