Discover North Mountain Construction, a leading General Contractor located in beautiful Nelson, British Columbia. We are looking for a permanent, part-time Bookkeeper to join our team and support our rapidly growing business.
Reporting to the Controller, the Bookkeeper prepares bi-weekly payroll, enters A/P invoices or credit card transactions and performs time and materials billing.
To be successful in this role, the Bookkeeper will enjoy working with multiple companies, maintaining thorough documentation and developing relationships inside and outside the organization. You have excellent communication skills and are extremely organized. We look for those with a desire to learn, solid work ethic, an eye for detail, and passion for building our communities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO HERE:
Monitor the AP email inboxes
Process accounts payable invoices including reviewing for accuracy and proper coding
Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile monthly vendor statements
Assist with biweekly payroll
Prepare time and materials billing and follow up on related payments
General Finance and Administration support
Prepare adhoc financial reports
Other such duties as required.
Does this sound like you?
Post-secondary certificate in a Business-related field (Finance, Accounting, Administration) or Payroll Compliance Professional Certificate
Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS office
Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting functions
Ability to work independently and work in a team environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
High level of attention to detail and accuracy of work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt, undertake multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities
Experience with accounting in the construction industry is desirable
