Job Advertisement – Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator / Welder
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our busy metal workshop team. This is a hands-on role working across a variety of fabrication projects including structural steel beams and frames, RHS frames and brackets, RHS screens with mesh, as well as general plate and componentry work.
The role involves interpreting drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and / or welding components to a high standard. You will be working with a range of workshop equipment and machinery and be involved in the handling and movement of steel using forklifts and overhead cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication and assembly of structural steel beams and frames
Manufacturing RHS frames, brackets, and mesh screens
Plate work and general component fabrication
Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
Safe operation of workshop equipment, including grinders, saws, and drills
Use of forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling
Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
About You:
Trade qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator (preferred)
Proven experience in structural and general fabrication
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Understanding of workplace health and safety
Forklift licence and crane experience highly regarded
The ability to assist with on-the-job training of apprentices and support the Workshop Foreman with day-to-day coordination would be highly beneficial.
Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour
