With a primary focus on reducing biosecurity risks, our mission aligns with propelling Tasmania towards a future where our natural resources, cultural values and environment are recognised and used sustainably for everyone’s prosperity.

We seek individuals who are good team players, adaptable, naturally inquisitive, highly attentive to detail and processes, and make considered decisions, with a keen ability to observe and identify the unusual. These skills will enable you to:

Undertake and report on biosecurity inspections, surveillance, control, and eradication activities.

Investigate suspected non-compliance and undertake conduct of enforcement activities.
Assist in the delivery of biosecurity and animal welfare emergency responses.
We have part time permanent and fixed term (6 hours per fortnight (every second weekend)) opportunities available in Devonport. Shifts are in line with a regional roster and may require early starts or late finishes.

Join our team and embark on a journey of continuous learning and development within a supportive organisational framework.

Our ideal candidate has

Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in biosecurity, animal welfare, or product integrity.
A team player and adaptable.
Great communication skills and the ability to relay important information to diverse audiences.
Professional and people-focused demeanour.
Committed to high levels of integrity.
We offer

Competitive salary, 11.5% superannuation contribution and salary sacrificing options.
Special staff benefits from Aurora Energy, nominated Health Funds, and AVIS.
Access to a syndicate of gyms and fitness centres across Tasmania.
