Job Description
Role Purpose:
To deliver engaging and inquiry-based Biology lessons in accordance with IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Cambridge IGCSE curriculum requirements, fostering scientific literacy, critical thinking, and research skills among students.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and teach Biology lessons for IBDP (SL/HL) and IGCSE students.
• Develop students' understanding of biological concepts through practical, investigative, and inquiry-based learning.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, examinations, and practical evaluations.
• Guide IBDP students in Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and scientific research projects.
• Assess student progress, maintain records, and provide timely feedback.
• Integrate technology and real-world applications into Biology teaching.
• Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, parent interactions, and school activities.
• Support the IB Learner Profile, international-mindedness, and holistic student development.
Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Biology/Life Sciences or a related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching IBDP Biology and Cambridge IGCSE Biology preferred.
• Strong laboratory, communication, and classroom management skills.
