Berkeley Eye Center has been a vision care leader in the Greater Houston area for over 60 years.
To ensure the service and care we are committed to providing our patients, Berkeley Eye Center seeks an outgoing bilingual (English/Spanish) individual for the position of Bilingual Ophthalmic Assistant.
The person in this position will be responsible for assisting with preliminary patient workups and joining the doctor during the patient exam to document the exam (test results, doctor's Q & A, doctor's instructions, etc) in the Electronic Medical Record system.
Ideal Candidate for this position is a person who is fluent in English and Spanish, has 2+ years’ experience in a vision care practice as an Ophthalmic Tech. Must have previous experience with Electronic Medical Records. Ability to perform manual refraction. Experience with medical scribing is a plus. Dependable, able to multi-task & change priorities as need arises. Strong data entry skills, excellent communicator, reliable, punctual, honest.
Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm
Friday: 8 am – 1 pm
