Conditions of Employment:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
Must be able to read, write and speak in both French and English
Qualifications:
Essential:

Experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office environment including processing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, sorting mail and operating office equipment. A combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered.
Experience providing customer service to the public by phone and in person in a professional manner.
Experience entering data into a specialized software system/database.
Experience preparing bank deposits and bank reconciliations.
Experience maintaining a high degree of accuracy while paying attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment with all levels of staff and the general public.
Excellent English verbal communication skills.
Excellent French verbal communication skills.
Strong written communication skills for preparing letters and other types of correspondence in English and French.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines and work within tight timelines.
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience working with highly sensitive and confidential information.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Desired
Experience interpreting or applying legislation/regulations.
Duties:
The Bilingual Registration Officer reports to the Deputy Registrar, Registrations regarding registration matters. This incumbent reviews applications submitted under The Real Estate Services Act and The Mortgage Brokers Act and is responsible for contacting applicants to address deficiencies. The incumbent provides administrative support for management and professional staff including reviewing incoming mail, composing and processing general correspondence related to routine registration matters, and responding to inquiries related to routine registration matters in-person, over the phone and by mail. The incumbent also reports to the Registrar regarding accounting functions related to recording and reconciliation of interest received on brokerage's trust accounts and unclaimed trust deposits.
