Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician Lead for our substance abuse treatment facility at Zinnia Health.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, a passion for supporting individuals through their recovery journey, and the leadership skills to guide a team of technicians.
Responsibilities
Lead & Supervise: Oversee and provide leadership to a team of behavioral health technicians on the second shift, ensuring that all duties are completed in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
Client Support: Provide direct support to clients with substance abuse issues, including monitoring behavior, implementing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention when necessary.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate client records, document observations, and report any incidents or concerns to the clinical team in a timely manner.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff, counselors, and management to ensure coordinated care and continuous improvement of treatment services.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards, confidentiality, and ethical practices.
Training & Development: Assist with the training of new staff, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience in substance abuse treatment or a similar field is highly preferred.
Must pass mandatory pre-employment screenings, including background checks and health screenings.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain calm and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities, mental health disorders, and crisis intervention techniques.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality laws.
