Battery Cell Lab Technician

about developing next-generation metal anode-solid electrolyte batteries. We have

set up a state-of-the-art 5,000 sq ft industrial RD centre in Bengaluru, India. Join

We are looking for a Battery Cell Lab Technician to perform electrode

manufacturing, battery cell assembly, equipment maintenance and battery cell

testing.

Responsibilities:

 Execute procedures in the laboratory with minimal supervision.

 Perform defined experiments based on SOPs.

 Perform a variety of facilities tasks including handling shipments, minor

repairs, and maintenance.

 Perform routine maintenance on equipment.

 Receive and check-in chemicals in our inventory system.

 Conduct chemical inventories throughout the lab.

 Participate in safety duties including conducting inspections, safe work

practices, and helping other staff to work safely.

 Weigh out chemicals and operate battery slurry mixing and coating

equipment.

 Prepare electrodes and cell components for coin and pouch cell fabrication.

 Support RD operations for cell making and testing.

 Assist engineers in developing methods and procedures.

 Perform experiments, quality control, and process development related to

electrode coating, cell assembly and cell testing.

Qualifications:

 A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

 4 years of Experience working in laboratory or industrial environments.

 Clear written and verbal communication.

 Ability to work in .

 Ability to lift, squat, kneel, use step ladders, manipulate hand, and power

tools.

 Basic computer skills including using email, creating, and editing

spreadsheets and documents in G-Suite and MS Office.

Desired Qualifications:

 Experience with chemical processing and characterization in a lab

environment.

 Battery electrode and cell making, and related experience is preferred.

 Experience battery cycling using testers including Neware and Arbin is a plus Read more
