Columbus Coffee in Hastings is looking for an energetic Barista/Café Assistant to join our locally owned and operated Hawke’s Bay team.
Our people are full of personality, work hard, and genuinely enjoy coming to work in our high‑energy, customer‑focused café. If you love great coffee, good food, and connecting with awesome customers — we’d love to meet you!
What you’ll bring
A genuine passion for hospitality — especially coffee
Willingness to learn the Columbus Coffee way of making exceptional drinks
Confidence chatting with customers about anything and everything
The ability to hit a sixth gear when it gets busy
A positive attitude and great vibe every single day
Flexibility with availability — we’re open 7 days (daytime hours only!)
Experience as a barista in a busy café is ideal, but if you have the right attitude and a real passion for coffee, we’re happy to train you.
