Subko is committed to an ideal: to help reimagine, re-design. and re-invent an unlikely origin-the Indian Subcontinent--as a legitimate contributor to the global specialty coffee and craft baking movements. Only raw materials enter Subko's roastery: all of the coffee and bakehouse products are crafted from scratch, in house. From crop to cup, bean to bar, and farm to table. We aim to provide a detailed, high quality coffee and bake experience to all our guests.
We are on the lookout for young. motivated individuals to join our growing team in the kitchen, front of house service and as baristas.
About the job:
We are searching for an experienced and energetic Barista to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the food and beverage industry and enjoys working with people. The Barista plays a key role in our energetic team of food and beverage enthusiasts who are driven to provide excellent customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a fun atmosphere where both customers and employees have a great experience that’s welcoming and engaging.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understanding the basics of all company coffees (roast level and flavour notes)
Maintaining a fast speed of service, especially during rush times and high peak season.
Develop sufficient knowledge on the list of products and offerings and effectively and accurately communicate it to customers
Prepare all beverages according to customer requirements within the prescribed time frame
Able to suggest beverages, roasts and equipment based on customer’s requirement
Ensures cleanliness at the station and café in general during each shift
Respond to guest questions, concerns and complaints and make sure they leave satisfied
Follow all café safety and security procedures and arrive on time for all shifts and stay until shift completion
Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
Comply with health and safety regulations
Required Skills:
Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
Flexibility to work various shifts
Strong customer service skills.
Relevant training is a plus
