Job description
About the roleWe are looking for a diligent Cashier to manage all cash‑related transactions at our branch. The role ensures accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, cheque handling and end‑of‑day reconciliation in line with banking guidelines.Key responsibilitiesReceive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash and asset registers, and forward requisitions to the Regional Head Office.Perform daily cash tallying, prepare the End‑of‑Day branch report and ensure vault operations are conducted jointly with the Operations Officer.Provide courteous customer service, explain repayment schedules, promote bank products and guide customers to alternative channels.Adhere to turnaround times, regulatory requirements and internal policies for all cashier operations.Validate customer identity during cash withdrawals and verify deposit slip accuracy for audit purposes.Required profileStrong attention to detail and ability to handle cash accurately.Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers.Understanding of banking procedures and compliance standards.Ability to work collaboratively with branch staff and maintain vault security.Required
