Job Description
Backend Java developers are responsible for creating and maintaining the server-side components of web applications. They use Java and other programming languages to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust backend systems.
Responsibilities
• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining server-side components of web applications using Java and related technologies.
• Design and develop enterprise-level software applications using the Spring Framework.
• Participate in the entire software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-deployment support.
• Working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using industry-standard coding practices.
• Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic with the UI.
• Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the server-side and client-side components of the application.
• Ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of the backend systems.
• Implementing data storage and retrieval solutions using databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments.
• Maintaining code quality and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in developing software using the Spring Framework.
• Strong experience in Java programming.
• Experience with web-based application development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with database development using SQL.
• Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and deployment, is a plus.
