Job Description
Work with development teams and product managers to ideate website solutions
- Build the front-end website architecture through appealing visual design
- Designing user interactions on web pages
- Developing back-end website applications
- Designing and developing APIs.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
- Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones
- Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Working alongside UI/UX designers for web design features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
- Create security and data protection settings
- Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
- Work with data scientists and analysts to improve website
- Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
- Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
Key skills:
- Strong proficiency of Node.js and frameworks available for it, such as Express, StrongLoop, etc
- Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, ReactJs JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache, PM2)
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests Proficient
