Job Description
Backend Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Full-stack JavaScript Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in full-stack development on the JavaScript stack, with a strong proficiency in Node.js, Postgres, and AWS. The candidate should have a proven track record of building robust applications from scratch. While not mandatory, experience in working with early-stage startups and the ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, and business stakeholders would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using JavaScript technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Architect, design, and implement features from conception to deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in fullstack JavaScript development and incorporate them into the development process when applicable.
• Mentor junior team members and actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development with JavaScript.
• Proficiency in Node.js frameworks like Express, Nest for server-side and development.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, EC2, EBS, ECR, ECS and Lambda.
• Experience with dockerizing applications and setting up CI/CD pipelines using Github actions.
• Proven track record of building and deploying applications from scratch.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in early-stage startups is a plus.
• Experience with Typescript is a plus.
