Role Overview
As a Backend AI RAG Systems Engineer (Technology Research & Innovation Engineer), you will sit at the intersection of R&D and production-grade engineering. Your primary focus will be designing and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and backend architectures that power intelligent, data-driven applications. You will be responsible for exploring emerging AI technologies, evaluating new frameworks, and driving technical innovation across Revalsys’ software products and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
RAG System Development: Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, focusing on vector databases, embedding models, and document orchestration.
AI Research & Innovation: Conduct deep-dive research on emerging technologies including LLMs, Generative AI, Cloud Computing, and Microservices.
Backend Engineering: Develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs to support AI integration into enterprise applications.
Prototyping & POCs: Design and build Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and experimental prototypes to test new technical ideas and product enhancements.
System Optimization: Research and implement best practices for software scalability, high-performance data retrieval, and distributed systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with product teams and architects to transform R&D initiatives into practical, production-ready solutions.
Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentoring to development teams on modern architectures, AI best practices, and innovative engineering standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Core Backend Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core and API development.
AI & RAG Skills: Proven experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and RAG frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex). Familiarity with vector stores (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus).
Database Management: Proficiency in MS SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
System Design: Strong experience in software architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
Cloud & DevOps: Knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Innovation Mindset: Exceptional analytical thinking and the ability to build experimental solutions from scratch based on evolving project requirements.
Communication: Excellent technical documentation and communication skills to translate complex research into actionable insights
