DeVries, J.D., M.B.A. As an attorney with a pool maintenance business on the side, Shawn experienced firsthand the limitations of existing pool maintenance software. Dissatisfied with the lack of control, poor communication with clients, and inadequate client interaction logging, Shawn set out to create a better solution.

Our platform offers enhanced control, seamless communication with clients, comprehensive client interaction logs, and improved predictability. Drawing from Shawn's background in law and hospitality, our goal is to treat our users not just as customers, but as guests, ensuring a delightful experience every time.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable and secure RESTful APIs to support the swimming pool maintenance software application
Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure using modern tools and frameworks such as Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration of frontend and backend components
Write efficient and optimized code that meets performance requirements and best practices
Test and debug backend components to ensure high-quality software
Work with product managers and UX/UI designers to ensure alignment on project requirements and business objectives
Implement data security protocols and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive user information
Provide ongoing support for the software, including addressing any bugs or issues that arise
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in backend development
Proficient in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Java, or Python
Extensive experience with building scalable and maintainable RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of databases and data storage systems such as MongoDB or AWS S3
Knowledge of security protocols and compliance measures such as OWASP, GDPR, and HIPAA
Experience with containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Comfortable working in a 100% remote environment
