Job Description

Job description
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, your role involves designing and developing vehicle electrical architecture, creating wiring harness layouts, and electrical schematics. You will be responsible for selecting electrical components such as relays, fuses, connectors, sensors, and controllers while ensuring compliance with automotive standards and safety requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include supporting the integration of lithium-ion battery packs, monitoring battery performance and safety parameters, and working with Battery Management Systems (BMS). You will analyze battery charging and discharging behavior and ensure the safe operation of high-voltage circuits.

Additionally, you will integrate motor controllers with the vehicle system, validate communication between battery, controller, and motor, troubleshoot issues related to power delivery and vehicle performance, and optimize efficiency and energy consumption.

Your role will also involve designing and reviewing wiring harness routing, preparing harness drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials), verifying connector compatibility and durability, and supporting manufacturing and assembly teams. You will diagnose electrical faults in vehicles, analyze wiring issues, sensor failures, and communication faults, and support field service teams in resolving customer complaints.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting electrical system testing, performing endurance, reliability, and environmental tests, validating charging systems and vehicle functions, and preparing test reports and corrective action plans. You will work with the Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol, monitor CAN messages using CAN tools, troubleshoot communication between ECUs, and validate software and hardware interfaces.

You will also support onboard charger integration, verify charging performance and safety, investigate charging failures and connector issues, and ensure compliance with charging standards. Your responsibilities will include creating electrical drawings and technical documents, maintaining test reports and validation records, updating engineering change documents, and coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing teams.

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will work with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams, support new product development projects, and participate in design reviews and root cause analysis.
