Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as the capability to interpret schematics. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs are completed efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair automotive issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
• Conduct equipment repairs and ensure all machinery is in good working order.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks when required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
• Weld components as necessary to complete repairs or modifications.
Requirements
• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks and stand for extended periods.
• A valid driving licence is preferred.
