Role description
Asset Servicing Analyst
The Transaction Services team is a multi-skilled operations function supporting cash operations, asset servicing, trade operations, and derivatives processing. The Asset Servicing Analyst will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of corporate actions, income events, reconciliations, and operational activities while maintaining strong risk and control standards.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced operational environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Process assigned transactions, asset servicing events, and operational activities within defined deadlines.
Monitor and manage mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, ensuring accurate end-to-end processing.
Investigate and resolve stock and cash reconciliation breaks and operational queries within agreed timelines.
Escalate unresolved issues and operational risks promptly based on agreed criteria.
Prioritize daily workload effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Manage stakeholder and client communications proactively, ensuring high-quality and timely updates.
Support ad-hoc operational tasks, process improvement initiatives, and project work.
Adhere to operational controls, procedures, and risk management standards.
Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and risk reduction.
Build effective working relationships with operational teams, Portfolio Implementers, Dealers, custodians, and external counterparties.
Support and mentor junior analysts within the team where required.
Ensure timely and transparent reporting of operational issues and incidents.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
Experience in Asset Servicing / Corporate Actions Operations.
Strong understanding of:
Mandatory Corporate Actions
Voluntary Corporate Actions
Income Processing
Hands-on experience with Aladdin.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience handling reconciliations, operational queries, and escalations.
Strong understanding of operational controls and risk management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
Good-to-Have Skills & Experience
Knowledge of Derivatives Operations, including Collateral Management.
Experience in Trade Operations across asset classes:
Equities
Fixed Income (including ABS/MBS)
FX
Money Markets
Unit Trusts
Repo
Term Deposits
Experience in Cash Operations, particularly payments processing.
Good understanding of SWIFT messaging standards.
Appreciation of operational risks across the transaction and asset lifecycle.
Experience supporting process improvement or automation initiatives.
Prior mentoring or coaching experience for junior analysts.
Preferred Behavioural Competencies
