Responsibilities

Risk Assessment Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks related to construction projects and corporate matters, advising on strategies to limit company exposure
Contract Drafting Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including construction contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, and licensing agreements, ensuring terms align with the company’s operational and financial objectives
Compliance Regulatory Oversight: Stay current on local, state, and federal regulations affecting construction and corporate operations; advise on compliance requirements and implement appropriate policies to ensure adherence
Dispute Resolution Claims Management: Act as the primary legal advisor on construction-related disputes, managing claims, change orders, and litigation, and working with outside counsel as needed
Business Advisory Strategy Support: Provide practical, business-oriented advice on day-to-day operations, project bids, and business decisions; partner with senior leadership to shape strategies that support growth while minimizing legal risks
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across development, construction, finance, and operations to address complex issues with comprehensive legal and business solutions
Policy Development Training: Develop and implement legal policies, templates, and best practices; provide training sessions to ensure company teams understand legal requirements and risk management strategies

Requirements

Education:
