Job Description
The Souled Store is a homegrown youth casual-wear brand started in 2013. We are one of
India’s largest online merchandising platform with licenses like Disney, Warner Bros., WWE, IPL, Viacom18 to name a few. Apart from selling products with themed designs such as superheroes, movies, TV shows, and cartoons, the brand also is at the forefront of latest youth style and fashion trends. In addition to core men and women wear apparel categories, we are also in the process of expanding to new categories and introducing new product lines in the existing categories like active wear, supima products, innerwear, personal care products like perfumes etc. We will also be launching footwear and kids wear very soon.
Although we are primarily an online brand, we’ve expanded in the offline retail space as well and have five offline stores in Mumbai, one in Pune, one in Bangalore, one in Delhi, with plans for expansion pan India.

Position Summary:
The product developer is responsible for the overall execution and development of the product, from concept to production, emphasizing category and performance materials within apparel. This position collaborates with the Product Development Manager, Technical Design, Materials, Design, Merchandising, Quality, and Production/Sourcing teams to execute product initiatives utilizing creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Job Location: Lower Parel, East, Mumbai
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Coordination with designer related to sampling requirement
• Product development – fabric and sample development.
• Preparation of sampling order for the sampling tailors – To interpret style techpack received from the designers and explain style requirement and style detailing to sampling master and pattern master for new samples and corrections.
• Correcting pattern based on FIT and Size set comments
• Looking into quality aspect of the samples.
• Following up sampling processes end to end
• Submission of sample to designers and follow up sample approvals
• To monitor approval status to ensure on-time sample delivery.
• Handing over sampling comments and style files to production merchandiser to communicate the same to vendors and factories.
• Create Specification sheets with graded measurements, fit comments, and
• pattern corrections per the fit requirement.
• To maintain accurate records of all communication, to ensure smooth
workflow and problem resolution. Also preparing TNA charts.
Competencies & Abilities :
• 1-2 years of experience in garment manufacturing and the fashion
• industry is strongly preferred.
• Well rounded experience in Womenswear Category
• Experience with technical performance apparel fit and construction
• specifically in the
• Womenswear category.
• Degree in Apparel / Fashion Design or a related major.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of garments, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
• Creative by nature with a good knack for design ideation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Suits and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
Education / Qualification :
• Diploma/ Degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts is a must.
• The candidate should have a background in Graphic Design/ Visual
• communication or 2+ years of relevant experience in the field.
• Experience in Fashion / Apparel/ E -commerce industry is plus.
• Basic understanding of the Patterns.
• Strong fashion sense and updated with current and upcoming trends
