Associate Director, Head – Business Practices (BPO)

The Head-BPO will be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of a local compliance framework, closely working with Legal & Compliance and other internal functions. You will lead the 6 member BPO team to provide guidance to business stakeholders of our Human Health Sales & Marketing organization on Code of Practice, Policies and Healthcare Professional (HCP) interactions and facilitate/support face-to-face compliance training to employees. In collaboration with the Country Compliance Committee and India Leadership Team, you will provide operational leadership and support to compliance programs.

This role will report into the Director, Commercial Operations and Public Markets, and will be based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:
• Enhance awareness on our Company’s Values and Standards, Corporate Policies and Compliance Policies, SOPs and Guidance.
• Coordinate and support Country Compliance Committee including developing agendas, circulating minutes of the meeting, tracking compliance scorecard, and follow up on action items
• Co-ordinate with Asia Pacific BPO to simplify compliance processes in India, in order to make on-ground execution more agile.
• Support the business in conducting self-audits at regular intervals and audit operations of alliance partners as per agreement requirements, develop remediation plans and ensure timely implementation of the same.
• Ensure consistent and effective compliance standards; update local policies, procedures and standards based on new and revised global standards.
• Create and execute the country strategy to leverage data analytics in compliance processes to proactively access and remediate risk area.
• Communicate and train employees on new and revised compliance standards;
• Supporting the implementation and operation of tracking /monitoring systems
• Developing, implementing and coordinating certification processes for Compliance matters
• Identifying trends and issues that represent significant risk to the Company and working with the Compliance Committee and other stakeholders to identify and implement remediation actions
• Manage and support regular internal-audits of e.g. HCP interactions and documentation / reporting of results.
• Facilitating/supporting face-to-face compliance training to employees, keeping a log of all compliance training provided
• Supporting management to ensure that audit remediation actions are implemented timely
• Share best practices with the Legal and Compliance community.

Job Requirements:
• Integrity: Demonstrates behavior consistent with high integrity and strong values.
• Communications and Influence: Be able to influence all levels of management across diverse business areas and be an excellent communicator.
• Auditing: Prior audit and financial risk assessment experience with Big 4 (KPMG, EY, Accenture, Deloitte) preferred; Pharma industry experience a bonus
• Problem Solving: Be able to evaluate a wide variety of business activities and apply analytical and problem-solving skills that enable the business consistent with policies and compliance requirements.
• Project Management: Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage and oversee the timely implementation of Compliance projects and activities.
