Job Description
Amaha is a tech-enabled mental health platform that supports people with their psychological needs. The firm is run by a team of mental health, technology, and wellness professionals. We are passionate about changing the lives of millions of people who will benefit from psychological support in all aspects of their lives.
With our self-care app, we aim to make psychological wellness more accessible and less stigmatizing. We have reached over 3.5 million people. We believe in combining the latest evidence-based interventions and ideas in the field of emotional health with cutting-edge technology and product design to build a stellar user experience. In addition to our B2C product, we have additional touchpoints with our 120+ therapists and corporate partners.
Our co-founders, Dr. Amit Malik and Neha Kirpal bring both the provider and user perspectives on mental and emotional health to Amaha, along with successful entrepreneurial experiences both in India and abroad. Our core team comprises alumni from IIT, IIM, ISB, Wharton, St. Xavier’s, London Business School, and other top schools across the world, with significant experience in developing and delivering emotional wellness products to individual users, corporates, and insurance companies.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Content Associate who has a passion for mental health or a related field, and someone who can create fresh and engaging content across a number of verticals We are a brand that focuses on quality over quantity. We keep the users at the center of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
● Managing end-to-end content delivery (We’re looking for someone who has laser-sharp focus)
● Coordinating with content writers to ensure consistency and quality across all content pieces
(We never compromise on quality)
● Working on microcopy that will drive users towards taking the right actions across our website
and app (We write copy that goes beyond selling a product. We connect with users on an
emotional level.)
● Taking research and translating it into consumable copy for the end-user (We do a lot of research at Amaha and if you love reading as much as you love writing, then you’ll enjoy this part of the role)
● Creating content like emailers, reports, or articles (We work with leading Indian corporates and
help them develop healthier workforces!)
● Working closely with product and design teams to create content that elicits empathy, warmth,
and expertise (Teamwork makes our dream work)
● Creating engaging, easy-to-read, and well-thought-out content (Easy-to-read is not always
easy-to-write, that’s why we’re looking for someone who understands content inside out!)
● Brainstorming, and generating fresh content ideas (We love our brainstorming sessions at
Amaha. Think, Ideate, Write, Repeat!)
● Creating & reviewing B2C content like audio & video scripts, UX copy, email content or blog posts (You know those soothing videos you find on Youtube that guide you into peaceful sleep? We create those!)
● Writing & editing meaningful and impactful content for our self-care app, therapy and psychiatry platform, and online community (We don’t just write content, we try to tell stories and provide insightful solutions to our users.) Using content management systems to publish content (Even if you haven’t used a platform like this before, we’re happy to train you!)
● Writing & editing copy that is aligned with our tone and messaging (Our brand voice is how we connect with users. Every word we write needs to resonate with it.)
● Proofreading copy (We DO NOT like TYPOS.)
● Improving processes & collaborating across teams (We believe in constantly upgrading
ourselves.)
Skills & Qualifications
● 2-5 years of work experience as a content creator/content editor + copywriting + editing
● Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Psychology, or a related field
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Excited to learn and grow in a start-up work culture!
● Love creating amazing copy!
● Comfortable with tight deadlines and multitasking!
● Can learn to love spreadsheets as much as we do
● High attention to detail
● Enjoy working in a team & fostering a positive work environment
