What you’ll do:
This position will be based in Pune and responsible for working with Direct material Category Managers, supporting the activities related to RFX, Eaton Standard Sourcing Process, Ariba - eRFQ’s and eAuctions. The principal role of the Associate Analyst - Direct Sourcing is to provide direct support to commodity managers to achieve their annual goals related to category strategy and cost out targets. This position will act as an Ariba consultant for Global CMs and will also be responsible for training suppliers and buyers on e-Auction tools and processes.
A - Process Requirements
• Identify, leads and drive strategic sourcing projects across relevant business area.
• RFI / RFQ / E-Auction Management – Request RFI or RFQ’s from suppliers, and in-depth analysis of RFQ’s, followup with suppliers, preparation of sourcing work books and recommendation to commodity managers on the preferred sourcing solutions.
• Evaluate and execute competitive bid events - Conduct due diligence on suppliers, connect with suppliers for requirements, initiate discussions between suppliers and category teams.
• Facilitate end to end project closures and report savings opportunities identified (WIP and executed). Evaluate supplier bids and provide supplier selection & award recommendation to the category teams.
• Drive weekly / monthly calls with category teams for project status and updates.
• Conduct user training for SCM team members, buyers, commodity managers, suppliers participating in the bidding
• Negotiation – Conducts first level of negotiations with suppliers based on the outcome of the RFQ.
• Report Management – Generates and analyzes different reports for specific managed categories
B. Technical Competancies & Service Delivery Requirements -
• 3 - 5 years of working experience in supply chain / manufacturing industries will be required alongwith understanding of strategic sourcing
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) for analytics and presentation
• Good exposure to data analytics (Advanced Excel functionalities), process automations, macros, etc. Power BI will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills to work with teams remotely, close coordination with cross-functional operations team to ensure closure
• Flexible attitude to work with the willingness to learn new skills when required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Preferably Electrical Engineering) with 3 - 5 years of experience OR Masters with 3 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing.
• 3 - 5 years in Supply Chain Management preferably in Direct Sourcing with categories like Electrical & Electronics etc - Experience in handling direct sourcing & procurement processes
• Must be able to select suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership
• Working knowledge of Contract Management
• Should have Project Management skills and experience.
• Understands supply chain norms & commodity strategies.
• Need to have working Knowledge of any ERP.
Skills:
• Certification- Any certification in supply management like CPSM, CPM will be an added advantage. b. b. Excellent knowledge with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project)
• Expertise in e-sourcing tools specifically Ariba platform
• Experience in spend analytics - Be able to create visibility into corporate spend, drive performance improvement, cost savings, contract compliance."
• Strong Business & Financial acumen - Understanding how markets work.
• Excellent communication – Written and verbal.
• Interpersonal skills - Able to work in a global environment and with stakeholders located in different regions of the world.
• Change management skills: Effective influencer who can make persuasive arguments.
