Woden Community Service

Job Description

Woden Community Service (WCS) is a for-purpose organisation that has been providing community-based services for over 50 years. Our vision of ‘A caring community where everyone belongs’ is achieved through our values of Inclusion, Compassion, Hope, Responsiveness, Integrity and Social Justice.

We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

At WCS, child safety and wellbeing sit at the centre of everything we do. This role is ideal for an emerging or established OSHC leader who is ready to deepen their practice, grow others, and help set a benchmark for quality, inclusion and meaningful experiences for children.

You will be supported by an experienced leadership team and clear systems, with genuine opportunities to build your leadership pathway through targeted professional development.

The Assistant Service Director – Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) partners with the Service Director to deliver an exceptional, child‑safe, inclusive and high‑quality service. You will help lead a vibrant program where children feel safe, seen and supported to thrive—while strengthening educator capability, consistency and compliance across the service.

When the Service Director is away, you will step up to lead day‑to‑day operations—supporting educators, engaging families and school partners, and ensuring strong governance, safe practice and a positive culture

Our Offer:

Generous salary packaging up to $15,899 per FBT year, plus Meals & Entertainment up to $2,650 per FBT year.
15 days paid personal leave per annum (pro rata) for full & part-time employees.
24/7 nationally recognised Employee Assistance Program (EAP), plus 3 additional holistic wellbeing sessions.
A structured professional development pathway—including mentoring, leadership coaching and role‑relevant learning to support your next career step.
Access to reflective practice support and supervision to strengthen leadership capability and educator wellbeing.
Enjoy exclusive discounts and everyday savings on essentials at leading Australian retailers such as Woolworths and Coles, all through our Flare Benefits program.
