What you'll be doing
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work under the guidance and direction of Registered Nurses to provide safe, effective and individualised care that supports patients throughout their rehabilitation and recovery.
Assist patients with personal care, mobility and communication needs to maximise independence
Deliver nursing care within your scope of practice and established clinical guidelines
Maintain accurate patient documentation to support continuity of care and legislative compliance
Assist with routine clinical and technical tasks, including equipment preparation and maintenance
Collaborate with patients, carers and the healthcare team to support positive rehabilitation outcomes

Successful completion of Certificate III Acute Care (HLT3311 with experience in acute care environments deemed appropriate by WSLHD or documented evidence of placement in 2nd Year as an undergraduate Registered Nurse at tertiary level documented evidence of enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT5411
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to use information technology systems
Proven ability to be self-motivated, flexible and adaptive as clinical needs arise, and remain within the scope of practice of an AIN
