Position Information
St Johns Park Public School is located in south-west Sydney. The school culture is enriched by 90% of students coming from a Language Background other than English. The current enrolment is 668. The school has 24 mainstream classes, 3 support classes for students with a mild to moderate intellectual disability and/or autism, an Opportunity Class and a preschool.

Selection Criteria
1. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with the demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively whilst effectively managing the dual roles of an exemplary classroom teacher and leader as part of a large executive team.
2. Demonstrated capacity to strategically lead whole school curriculum implementation for measurable school improvement with a data lens to drive pedagogical change.
3. Demonstrated expertise in leading extracurricular programs, demonstrating the ability to plan and manage diverse activities that enrich student engagement, development and wellbeing.
4. Highly visible and approachable leader with outstanding interpersonal skills to initiate, build and strengthen positive partnerships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
