Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. This role is essential in promoting early childhood development and ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
Support students in literacy education, math, and other core subjects.
Engage with children to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Maintain effective classroom management to create a positive learning atmosphere.
Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum tailored to the needs of students.
Provide individualized support for children with special needs, including those with autism or other disabilities.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to lead teachers regarding classroom dynamics.
Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all children, including proper supervision during activities.
Facilitate communication with parents regarding student behavior and progress.
Skills
Strong background in early childhood education and childhood development.
Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for young learners.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while being adaptable to changing classroom dynamics.
Experience in teaching or tutoring subjects such as literacy and math is highly desirable.
Understanding of special education practices and strategies for working with individuals with disabilities.
