About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – Procurement to join our growing team in the fresh and exotic fruits, vegetables, edible flowers, and microgreens segment. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of seasonal availability, sourcing best practices, and proven experience in managing vendor networks and procurement teams in the agriculture, F&V industry or FMCG.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process of fresh fruits, vegetables, edible flowers, and microgreens.
• Identify and onboard the best suppliers, farmers, and vendors to ensure consistent quality and supply.
• Maintain strong knowledge of seasonal trends and plan sourcing calendars accordingly.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Monitor daily procurement operations, ensuring freshness, timely delivery, and compliance with food safety standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments like inventory, logistics, and quality control to streamline operations.
• Lead, train, and supervise a small team of procurement executives and field staff.
• Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and share insights with senior management.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in procurement within the F&V industry.
• Strong vendor network in fresh produce, edible flowers, and microgreens.
• Excellent knowledge of seasonality, sourcing regions, and crop cycles.
• Proficiency in Excel, procurement software, or ERP tools.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment and manage cross-functional coordination.
