Assistant Manager Finance & Taxation Location: Kolkata Company: Orion Edutech (P) LtdAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Finance team as Assistant Manager Finance & Taxation. This is an excellent opportunity for freshly qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) or Cost Accountants (CMA) who are eager to gain comprehensive exposure to corporate finance, taxation, audit, and compliance functions in a fast-growing organization.The role is designed to provide hands-on learning and career development under the guidance of experienced professionals, making it an ideal platform for freshers to build a strong foundation in the finance domain.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Assist in preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements as per statutory requirements.Taxation: Handle direct and indirect tax matters including computation, return filing, reconciliations, and assisting in tax audits.Audit & Compliance: Support in statutory audits, internal audits, tax assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.Budgeting & MIS: Contribute to preparation of budgets, forecasts, management information systems (MIS) reports, and perform variance analysis.Accounting & Controls: Ensure accuracy of accounting entries, reconciliations, and adherence to internal controls and company policies.Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with auditors, consultants, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders for smooth closure of financial and compliance activities.Desired Candidate ProfileQualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) Qualified or in final stage.Experience: Freshers are encouraged to apply.
