Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager – Accounts
Industry Type: Lead Manufacturing
Preferably male candidate
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Operations
• Assist in maintaining books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate recording of journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Generate MIS reports for management review.
• Support financial analysis and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in preparation and filing of GST, TDS, VAT, income tax returns, and other statutory filings.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
• Help identify and implement process improvements.
• Assist in payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Review employee expense claims and reimbursements.
• Guide and supervise junior accounting staff.
• Coordinate with other departments for financial data and clarifications.
• Act as a backup to the Accounts Manager when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance preferred).
• 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel.
• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
