Total Salary Package: $142,445 - $170,+7+ (plus 15.4% super)

The Role
The role will work across the Australian Signals Directorate – specifically with ASD’s Access Foundations and Strategy and Governance Branches – to support the development of ASD’s space-related contributions under REDSPICE and deliver against Australian and partner priorities for space.
It will also work closely with ASD’s footprint at JDFPG in Alice Springs, and be required to work from JDFPG on a semi-regular basis to build knowledge and enhance partnerships. The position will focus on the following core duties:
Lead and represent Technical Intelligence Branch in the Space Domain, including the delivery of strategic level advice and coordination across ASD and other domestic and international stakeholders in support of ADGTI and First Assistant Director-General Expeditionary Transnational Intelligence (FADGETI).
Support Senior Leadership and their teams in the development and execution of space related activities and initiatives, including those in REDSPICE.
Strengthen relationships across ASD, the Defence Portfolio, whole of Government partners and Defence agencies in the Space Domain, with a focus on building capability, supporting strategic program outcomes and protecting ASD and partner equities.
Note: This is a Monday to Friday day position (not shift work).

About our Team
Technical Intelligence Branch within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) provides support and leads engagement in support of ASD’s Assistant Director-General Technical Intelligence (ADGTI), who is ASD’s Operational Space Domain lead. The branch works across multiple ASD teams, and plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining relationships with the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap (JDFPG), and various US counterpart Intelligence Communities. The branch also oversees ADGTI’s engagements with Australian counterparts on Space Domain issues, including Defence Space Command and Joint Capability Group.
