Job Title: AS400 Developer
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Experience: 6+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain RPG programs on the AS/400 platform.
• Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and debugging of existing applications to resolve issues and enhance functionality.
• Integrate AS/400 applications with other systems and platforms using APIs, RESTful, and SOAP services.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Document technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant materials.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and contribute to the company’s innovation.
Required Skills:
• Proficient in RPG programming on the AS/400 platform.
• Strong understanding of AS/400 system architecture and operations.
• Experience with database design and management on the AS/400 platform.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience MAPICS 6.0 or more preferred.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of SAP integration and functionalities.
• Familiarity with APIs, including RESTful and SOAP services.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
