The 1st Health Battalion, located at Robertson Barracks and is one of four multi-role Health Battalions within the Australian Army. The 1st Health Battalion role is to provide close health support to deployed forces, orientated towards primary health care, resuscitation and evacuation.

Students will be exposed to a program of activities providing participants with an insight into the range of health roles available within the 1st Health Battalion. Students will be exposed to – Doctors, Medics, Nurses, Dentists, Pharmacists, Physiotherapist, Psychologists, Environmental Health/ Preventative Medicine Technicians, Physical Training Instructors, Drivers and Logistic Operators. This includes participating in PT sessions, dining in the mess, medical training activities and attending an information session with Defence Force Recruiting.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss these roles with members and experience our culture, facilities and equipment, under the close supervision of highly professional Defence Personnel.
