Area Business Manager - Field Sales
Job Description
As an Area Business Manager at AstraGen, your role will involve driving sales growth and expanding the company's presence in the education sector. You will be responsible for planning and executing field sales strategies, conducting client visits, and building relationships with key decision-makers. Additionally, you will lead a team of field sales representatives, monitor their performance, and provide coaching to achieve sales goals. Your analytical skills will be crucial for analyzing market trends, gathering competitive intelligence, and preparing sales reports. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to ensure effective implementation of business initiatives and customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth across designated territories to meet revenue targets
- Plan and execute field sales strategies
- Conduct regular client visits to schools
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Manage a team of field sales representatives
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and guidance
- Analyze market trends and gather competitive intelligence
- Prepare sales reports
- Collaborate with internal teams for effective implementation of business initiatives
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in field sales, area sales management, or business development, preferably within education, EdTech, or related service industries
- Strong relationship-building and client management skills
- Ability to plan territory coverage, prioritize opportunities, and meet or exceed sales targets consistently
- Experience in leading or mentoring a sales team
- Proficiency in sales metrics, forecasting, and CRM tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus
- High level of self-motivation, integrity, and resilience
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned areas for client visits and field activities
